Don't Delay & Get The X-Ray

Hello!

At Ligocki Dental Group, we want to provide the best possible care for all of our patients in order to keep everyone in a healthy state. However, in order to accomplish this, Digital Dental X-rays must be taken. Visual examination is not enough. With these images we can accurately diagnosis and treat dental problems early before  they become more serious. After examining your mouth and reviewing these images, finding no cavities or growth issues, you can rest assured we as your dental team have seen the entire picture.

A Valuable Diagnostic Tool

X-rays are often called radiographs. These radiographs can help us see between and in the teeth with using a very low dose of radiation. It is completely safe even expecting and nursing mothers. All of our patients wear a protective apron and collar. We are given a more complete picture of the condition of your mouth in a high level of detail to see any of the following:
  • Find cavities
  • Look at the tooth roots
  • Check the health of the bony area around the tooth
  • Help diagnose periodontal disease
  • See the status of developing teeth

Intraoral X-rays are the most common type of radiograph taken in dentistry. They give a high level of detail of the tooth, bone and supporting tissues of the mouth.

Save Money on X-Rays with Preventative Care

We simply cannot see your whole mouth during an oral examination without taking Digital Dental X-rays. If there are any problems between your teeth, inside your teeth, or under your gums, we simply will not see them. Hidden issues, that often do not hurt, can be discovered at an early stage by taking these preventative radiographs.

Think about it like this...we discovered a cavity between two of your teeth. By leaving it untreated because it was not bothering you, that cavity could get worse, and you could end up needing a root canal or an extraction. These procedures such as root canals and extractions cost more than getting a simple filling. The moral of the story is getting issues fixed at an early stage is less expensive than getting it fixed later when the problem has gotten much worse.

Planning For The Future

Have you ever been caught off guard by an unexpected, large expense? It is not a good feeling especially when you are on a tight budget. By taking Digital Dental X-rays, you can plan for future large dental expenses for yourself and your family.

For example, when you get X-rays, your dentist could discover that your children will need their wisdom teeth removed in the future. The American Dental Association explains that this usually happens between the ages of 17 and 21. This advance warning gives you time to start saving for the treatment. Removing four impacted wisdom teeth can cost up to $4,000, which is a big bill if you're not ready. Thanks to your X-rays, you'll have some time to adjust your budget.

Dental X-rays could also show that your kids will need braces. Braces are another expensive treatment, but again, you'll have some time to plan and save. This makes the initial dental X-ray cost well worth it. While the cost of dental X-rays may seem high, it's well worth it. It's a small investment that helps you avoid expensive dental care later, or plan for future dental expenses.
